As the carpet dries the spot may come back. What is happening is the moisture in the carpet is wicking up the carpet fiber and bringing the stain back up the fiber and into view. Bonnet Cleaning, Encapsulating, and OP methods almost never have wickback problems.

In most cases with smaller Pet Urine issues you can soak the problem area with about the same amount of Urine neutralizer, allow soak for 20 to thirty minutes and then extract. If an area has been badly heavily used by a pet multiple times the capret pad and sub floor can be contaminated. The solution for this ordinarily you should pull up the carpet, replace the carpet pad, paint over the subfloor using a special sealer. Sometimes it will be best to to replace the carpet.

You cannot get enough air flow to get dirt from the bottom of the carpet back up through the top layer. What carpet cleaners are trying to clean is the 20% of the sticky dirt that sticks to the fibers and makes the carpet look dirty.
