What Causes Wickbacks?

Wick backs are an issue with most carpets, more so with carpets that are not installed over a pad. Particularly with Hwe you can clean a carpet or rug and the spot will appear be gone. As the carpet dries the spot may come back. What is happening is the moisture in the carpet is wicking up the carpet fiber and bringing the stain back up the fiber and into view. Bonnet Cleaning, Encapsulating, and OP methods almost never have wickback problems.

If an area has been badly heavily used by a pet multiple times the capret pad and sub floor can be contaminated.
